⚠️ Compared to Cabbage Leaves...

Cabbage leaves may offer temporary relief but do nothing to regulate hormones or stop milk at the source. Worse, their cooling action can constrict milk ducts, risking engorgement and mastitis—something Wallow’s oil-based formula actively avoids by promoting flow and absorption while signaling the body to stop production.

Why Cold Turkey Fails:

Abruptly cutting off breastfeeding without emotional or physical support often leads to severe resistance from the child, increased crying, sleep disruption, and emotional regression. On the mom’s side, it can cause rapid engorgement, clogged ducts, and mastitis, creating more pain, guilt, and setbacks.

Ladies, let’s be honest, there are so many content creators, blogs, and videos with a ton of information on breastfeeding and how to breastfeed, either naturally or using a pumping method.

There are like a million products to help you—breast pumps, nursing bras, lactation tees, and nipple butters—I mean, I can go on and on, right?

But where is the help when it comes to the stage where they transition from our precious breastfeeding babies to our independent purée and finger food toddlers? And yes, I know there are a lot of moms who give advice on weaning food and companies that sell pouches, etc. But who is helping and talking about how to stop your toddler from breastfeeding?

Honestly, no one!

I can honestly say that it is so empowering to have our beautiful babies in our arms, depending on us for their food that is all-natural and not some byproduct that some company made, because our kids’ health comes first.

But listen to this! How we stop our kids from breastfeeding—psychologists and neuroscientists say we’ve been doing it wrong, and that’s why our kids suffer from trust issues. Keep reading, and I promise you that what they’ve found will surprise you, but the solution will leave you feeling just as smart as the world’s top-ranked child psychologists.

The Truth About Weaning in America

Research shows that most mothers in America start the weaning process for their baby around six months. And personally, I went digging even more to figure out why, and what I found may probably scare you!

The reality is we are one of the top countries in the world that stop breastfeeding the fastest. In Europe, they breastfeed up to two years old and beyond.

But we have to stop sooner! It’s sad, but we stop breastfeeding faster because our maternity leave is shorter! That is scary! But let me tell you why that’s scary—trust me, you really need to know this!

Stop Experimenting!
Stop Experimenting!

The Emotional Toll of Weaning

Children’s psychologists agree that stopping breastfeeding is hard on the mother but incredibly hard on the child’s mental and emotional brain. But because they can’t communicate with language, it’s hard to realize—so they cry. And they cry profusely.

Okay, let me explain with an example so you can understand as an adult.

If you’re in a committed relationship with your loving partner that makes you feel safe, loved, and provides for you, and then all of a sudden, they break up with you! How emotionally painful is it? It takes months or even years to recover, and the emotional pain definitely affects your life and your ability to trust another partner if you decide to try again.

Now, let’s relate that to your baby, where they get love, comfort, and food from breastfeeding, and you just stop and push them away and say no! That’s devastating for children! Because they don’t even understand why you’re saying no.

It’s like your boss saying you’re fired with no excuse!

The Solution—A Gentle Way to Wean

But there is a way! A way that is actually the best way—and it took a lot of research to figure this out. This is something every single mother needs to know. If I’m being honest, I think every single nurturer should know this, to be frank.

The best and easiest way to handle such a traumatizing event—without the tears of weaning from breastfeeding—is a deterrent!

I know you’re probably thinking, What’s a deterrent? And how does it eliminate the crying and emotional trauma?

Okay, here’s a quick explanation. Please keep reading—it’s all going to make sense in a short bit, so you can understand. And you might even be able to spot another mom doing it wrong and help her through this very emotional phase. And trust me, she will be so thankful!

A deterrent, such as Wallow Baby Weaner, deters the baby from the breast by giving it a bitter taste. By applying 2 -3 drops on your breast nipple so, whenever your baby tries to breastfeed, they’re met with an unpleasant taste that makes them go eww! Mom’s breast doesn’t taste good anymore. And then they choose the other alternatives, such as the bottle, puree, baby food, etc. It can also be a deterant for finger sucking, pacifier sucking and even bottle sucking. It's really universal for weaning that acts as a natural deterant.

The Psychology Behind It

Here’s the psychology behind it! This is going to be so interesting to learn about!

By doing this—and not pushing them away—they don’t feel neglected. You’ve basically made it their choice to stop breastfeeding. They associate a bad taste with your breast, and their brain automatically relates it to something bad.

That is so amazing!

A baby or toddler sees the entire world through two lenses—Bad or Good.

  • If it’s good, it makes them happy, and they want more! Like candy—they would eat candy all day if we didn’t stop them!

  • If it’s bad, it makes them sad or cry, and they avoid it. Like when they see a doctor with a needle—every time they see a doctor holding a needle, they cry because it’s bad.

They aren’t as complex as adults, so there you go.

Make it a mutual agreement where you both decide to go your separate ways (lol). It’s going to be the best decision for both of you! One goes off to become a toddler and eventually a teenager… and the other? Gets their life back.

Why Wallow Baby Weaner Works

Wallow Baby Weaner is really the first natural deterrent that helps stop breastfeeding in a matter of a day.

  • Its all-natural ingredients have been clinically tested

  • It’s plant-based, so your precious toddler is safe

And look—we’re not here to try and sell you something. You can make the decision on what works best for you.

A lot of people try different things—

  • Garlic or hot sauce? Moms say it’s just not effective.

  • Cold turkey? It’s the worst method. Psychologists prove that it just creates trust issues for your toddler.

So why keep experimenting—why keep using your child as a test dummy or a lab rat?

With Wallow Baby Weaner, you can stop the tears, end the emotional stress, and make weaning an easy, painless transition—for both you and your baby.

Take a look at what some moms are saying….

But out of curiosity, if we all can share some of our experiences on how we are dealing with this stage, it would be amazing. Please, guys, if you can, just share with a comment because being a mother is new and hard for all of us. We’re all trying to figure it out, and your way may shed light on a completely new mom who could probably be a teen mom. I feel like we all need each other and can learn from each other.

So, what has your experience been like?

After reading this it really made me try the wallow weaner because I know I had to stop breastfeeding but I didn't know how. I really didn't want my daughter to hurt and cry because as a mom it really make me cry. I searched everywhere trying to find an easier solution but everyone just says go cold turkey. That's something I just could not do! I've tried for years to have a kid and now that she's here she means the world and I can't make her sad. But after trying she just doesn't like how my breast taste and prefer her bottle. I love her so much and this has made it easy for me. So hope I…
